The Cox OEM Gateway (COG) is an integration platform that provides robust integrations without code and in a matter of days.

Problem

• Legacy integrations were brittle and provided limited observability.
• New integrations could take up to 6 months to build and the backlog of integrations was growing faster than they could be completed.

My Contribution and Approach

• Established guiding principles for platform.
• Designed cloud-native architectural approach targetting no-code solution.
• Simplified integrations to the task of transport and mapping.
• Defined common objects to which to map each type of data.

Outcome

• Integration creation shifted from engineers to business analysts.
• Increased observability across all integrations.
• Faster time to market (2-5 days) for all new integrations.
